Introduction

Information pertaining to the history of Port Royal Jamaica is vast and widespread. This website was created as an attempt to gather data, books, articles, maps, etc in one place to aid research more effectively.

Created by an American who became fascinated by not only the history of Port Royal but it’s evolution. After several years of poring through research, it became my hope and desire to assist anyone else out there in search for more answers about this remarkable town in the Caribbean by sharing my resources in a consumable and easy to search and categorize method such as this website. It is my intention to continuously add to and edit this site as more information becomes available to me.

There have been many trailblazers in this endeavor, many of whom I intend on including in this website. Their work has been essential in discovering and maintaining the history surrounding this town. I hope that if anyone else out there has similar interests, more findings, or would like to contribute to this research hub in any way, to please contact me. Again, it is my hope to retain and illuminate all of the hard-earned information and work done by our predecessors for current and future generations to learn and grow from.
